Project Overview

This stunning 1921 Rolls Royce Silver ghost is 100 years old! Having had a major refit with a cream finish in the 1950’s.

Restoring a classic to its former glory

This elderly car had become, shall we say, tired and feeling a little bit sorry for itself. This was therefore an excellent opportunity to revive the car back to its original livery. Lawfield and Abbott Automotive were commissioned to carry out this work with D & C Trim taking on the leatherwork and new hood.

Project Date

First things first

The first part of the project was to disassemble the car and strip off all that old paintwork. This was a huge undertaking and we had to be very careful with the handling of the old paint.

A work in progresss

Creating a perfect finish on a swirling dervish of curves takes a great deal of skill and patience. The shear size of the panels is a challenge in itself.
